Availability
Expression Graphic Designer and Interactive Designer are currently available for download as Community Technology Previews (CTPs). Expression Web (formerly Expression Web Designer) is available as a Beta release.
Code Names
The Expression Graphic Designer code name is “Acrylic,” the Expression Interactive Designer code name is “Sparkle,” and the Expression Web code name is “Quartz.”
Trial versions
Pre-release versions of Expression Graphic Designer, Expression Interactive Designer, and Expression Web are available for download now.
How do products work together?
Designers can incorporate elements created with Expression Graphic Designer into user interface designs created with Expression Interactive Designer, or Web content and applications created with Expression Web.
Expression Graphic Designer supports the creation of graphic designs for export to XAML, the declarative markup language used to describe application user interface elements and rich content for the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
Expression Interactive Designer is built on top of WPF and can consume XAML files exported from Expression Graphic Designer.
